Zara Stanhope is Curatorial Manager, Asian and Pacific Art, at the
Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art, Brisbane, and lead
curator of 'Unfinished Business: The Art of Gordon Bennett'. Zara
leads the curatorial development of the Gallery's 'Asia Pacific
Triennial of Contemporary Art' and previously worked with Gordon
Bennett curating 'Three Colours: Gordon Bennett and Peter
Robinson'.
Abigail Bernal is Assistant Curator, International Art, at the
Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art, Brisbane, and
associate curator of 'Unfinished Business: The Art of Gordon
Bennett'. She is currently working on the Philippine component of
QAGOMA's '10th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art', and has
contributed to exhibitions at QAGOMA, such as 'Gerhard Richter: The
Life of Images' (2017), 'Kalpa Vriksha: Contemporary Vernacular and
Indigenous Art of India' (2015) and 'Zhang Xiagogang: Shadows in
the Soul' (2009).
Simon Wright is Assistant Director, Learning and Public Engagement,
at the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art, Brisbane,
and was a close friend of Gordon Bennett. He has worked in the arts
sector for more than 25 years, managing over 300 exhibition,
programming, publication and special events in public and
university art museum settings.
J. Faith (Kapwa) Almiron is an interdisciplinary cultural studies
scholar and writer. Her upcoming manuscript, based on her doctoral
research at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa, is 'The Art of
Basquiat Belongs to the People'. She has taught at Rutgers
University-New Brunswick, the Institute for Research in
African-American Studies at Columbia University and the University
at Wisconsin at Madison.
Tim Riley Walsh is the Brisbane Desk Editor for ArtAsiaPacific,
Hong Kong, and recently completed his MPhil thesis on the archive
of the late Gordon Bennett. Tim has written widely for
publications, including ArtAsiaPacific, Frieze, Art Monthly
Australasia, Art + Australia, Eyeline, Apollo, Runway and Artlink.
