From her earliest years, Marie has shown compassion to those less fortunate than herself. Then life became busy, caught up in endless parties, when suddenly she found herself searching for the meaning of life. Unable to find what she was looking for, she ran away to London with some of her Northumberland friends. She was on the brink of suicide when she was invited to church.
