Reviews

`It beams readers with pinpoint accuracy to the heart and soul of 1860s Mexico, Cuba, and Spain on a magic carpet ride that they will be sorry to have end.' - Leila Meacham, New York Times bestselling author of Roses `Duenas is a gifted writer ... A Vineyard in Andalusia is destined to become a classic.' - Armando Lucas Correa, international bestselling author of The German Girl `Maria Duenas is a true storyteller.' - Kate Morton, author of The House at Riverton `Evocative, tender, and lush' - Diana Gabaldon, author of Cross Stitch, on The Seamstress `Richly satisfying' - FT on The Seamstress `A complete delight.' - Judy Finnigan on The Seamstress `In [A Vineyard in Andalusia], Duenas demonstrates the same breezy and entertaining style she wields to such great effect in her previous works. She is an author who seems to put story first, more interested in delivering a good old-fashioned yarn than in trying to impress you with literary pyrotechnics.' - Washington Post
