Jerry Mayer has always been the class clown. He grins happily, "Lucky I'm funny or I wouldn't have landed Emily, who is way too smart and gorgeous for me." Jerry quit a great job in his St. Louis family's construction biz to move out to L.A. to write for show biz. Luckily, he cut the mustard and wrote lots of comedy classics like "All in the Family," "The Bob Newhart Show," "M*A*S*H," "The Mary Tyler Moore Show," "The Facts of Life," etc., while also drawing cartoons for PLAYBOY and writing nightclub acts for movie star, Mitzi Gaynor.
