About the Author

Laura lives with her husband, John, in northern Minnesota. Professionally, she is a school psychologist and guidance counselor. Laura is also an experienced trainer and retreat leader. For a number of years she worked at an Archdiocese as the Coordinator of Marriage and Family Ministries. She has developed and led programs and retreats pertaining to marriage preparation, marriage enrichment, woman's spirituality, and family spirituality. Laura would say that at this stage of her life, it is the pine and birch trees outside her window who are her greatest teachers about a God of love and delight. A God who invites us, each day, to open our eyes to the beauty around us so we may discover that the Kingdom is already here!
