About the Author

Juliet M. Getty, Ph.D. is an internationally respected writer and lecturer on equine nutrition. She is the Contributing Nutrition Editor for the Horse Journal, and her comprehensive reference book, Feed Your Horse Like a Horse, has educated countless horsemen and women in the science behind sound equine feeding practices. Independent of pharmaceutical company influence, she considers nutrition first for the prevention and treatment of disease and disorders, before turning to medical intervention and the use of medications.
