Shellene Ramsahoye has a Master in Speech-Language Pathology and
has been a speech-language pathologist for twenty-five years,
working mostly with preschool and school-aged children, in both
healthcare and school settings. She also has a Bachelor of Science
in Zoology. She has always loved writing and reading. Throughout
her career, she has had the opportunity to read many children's
books, learning what children love, what they talk about, and what
makes them laugh. Wanting to contribute to the wonderful realm of
literature and to hone her own writing skills, Shellene took
creative writing and advanced writing classes.
As she begins to wind down her private practice, Shellene finds
herself spending more time focusing on her hobbies, which include
writing and amateur photography. She also enjoys hiking and
travelling with her family. Shellene lives in Wainwright, Alberta,
on a large acreage with her husband and two teenaged children. She
has two dogs, two cats, and two enormous goldfish. A Wild Ride is
her first book.
