Synopsis

The mice of Brambly Hedge made their first appearance in 1980 when the four seasonal stories were published. Creator Jill Barklem had spent five years on research before she started to write her first stories about the mice of Brambly Hedge and her interest in Natural History and her curiosity about traditional rural customs and crafts have spilled over into these chronicles of hedgerow life. Brambly Hedge is now an international phenomenon with translations into fifteen languages and sales of over four and a half million copies. The mice have appeared on merchandise ranging from china to chocolate and now feature in animated films for television
