  • On BBC LIVE SESSIONS, radio DJ Gilles Peterson showcases an eclectic roster of live artist tracks from his Radio 1 show, including Beck's melancholy "Round the Bend" and Beth Gibbons' after-hours, Lady Day-flavored "Romance." Peterson's guest roster favors low-key soul-jazz like Roisin Murphy's "Sow Into You" or Amp Fiddler's "I'm Doin' Fine," with frequent forays into hip-hop territory like Common's "The Corner." But he also refreshingly blends experimentalists like Bjork, whose reworking of "Who Is It," from her MEDULLA album, is a highlight, and contemporary jazz, in the shape of the Heritage Orchestra's "Telescopic," into his wide-ranging mix.
