Country duo Montgomery Gentry maintain their solid winning streak with their sixth album, 2008's BACK WHEN I KNEW IT ALL. Maintaining their blend of traditional country twang and pop-rock stomp, songs like the title track (the album's first single) are crisp, solid country pop. Other highlights include a pair of songs showcasing Montgomery Gentry's comfortable position in the country mainstream: "God Knows Who I Am" features a star in the making (guest singer Lillie Mae Rische of the new alt country act Jypsi), and "I Pick My Parties," a raucous and good-humored duet with established vet Toby Keith.
