The second and final album by the U.S. rock band Balance, 1982's IN FOR THE COUNT, presents an accessible set of tunes in the AOR vein of Toto and Styx. Fronted by vocalist Peppy Castro (Blue Magoos) and featuring guitarist Bob Kulick (the brother of Kiss's Bruce Kulick), the ensemble mixes hard-rock numbers (see the synth-laden title track) with lighter fare ("Breaking Away"), resulting in a dynamic, if underrated, record.
