A follow-up to 1993's BACK AND FORTH: SERIES TWO, the imaginatively titled BRAP: BACK AND FORTH VOLUMES THREE AND FOUR collects two discs' worth of greatest hits and rarities, including live tracks and remixes. These 24 tracks are the perfect introduction to this Canadian trio's work; it's even preferable to the original BACK AND FORTH because of the focus on the group's later and more powerful records. Starting around the time of 1987's CLEANSE FOLD AND MANIPULATE, Skinny Puppy used its heavy influence from Cabaret Voltaire to became one of the most powerful and sonically adventurous bands of its era. It can't be coincidental that this change coincided with Dwayne Goettels' entry into the group. Goettels' electronics and samples eventually became so important to the group that they broke up after his death rather than find a replacement.
Impressively, the CDs include a veritable cornucopia of multimedia goodies for Skinny Puppy fans, including news and interview clips concerning the band's often controversial public image, and 20 of the group's videos. This is one of the most extensive multimedia CDs ever created.
