The only thing more blistering than Washington State garage legends the Sonics are the Sonics live in concert. This utter gem of a disc finds the young Turks working their collective mojo until they explode. Recording for a pair of radio broadcasts on their home turf in Tacoma, the band blazes through a set of classic R&B numbers, including "Have Love Will Travel" and "Oo Pooh Pa Doo," as well as several original burners, most notably their classic "The Witch." This is an old-school, in-the-red face-melter that's a must-have for garage aficionados
