California Hitchhike captures his force-of-nature live show from one of the high points of his career: culled from his four-night stay at San Francisco's Old Waldorf in November 1979, this set features not only some of Iggy's definitive songs from his solo career and with the Stooges, but a killer backing band. Sex Pistol Glen Matlock, the Damned's Brian James, and the Patti Smith Group's Ivan Kr l add extra heat to songs like "No Fun" and "New Values." Packaged in an oversized, laminated slipcase, the set also includes rare photographs and a previously unreleased track, "Hitchhiking in California."
