Originally released as a 2 LP set.
Sony Music Special Products' The Country Side of Jim Nabors is a generous collection of 16 country-pop songs he cut for Columbia Records over the years. Nabors never actually had a single on the country charts, but he could nevertheless deliver a country tune as convincingly as he could a pop or gospel tune, as this collection proves. Any fan of his wishing to hear the highlights of his country work should turn here. It may be a budget-line collection, but it's one of the rare budget-line discs that provides a thorough, successful overview of a specific portion of an artist's work. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
