A couple selections excepted, the seventh volume of Grand 12-Inches -- compiled, but not mixed, as always, by Ben Liebrand -- consists of disco and post-disco from the late '70s and early '80s, with a nice balance between crossover hits and cult favorites. Four discs in duration and released by a division of Sony in the Netherlands, this offers another useful assortment of enduring tracks in 12", extended, and remixed form, including Space's "Carry on, Turn Me On," Leon Haywood's One Way dead ringer "Don't Push It, Don't Force It," Evelyn "Champagne" King's "I'm in Love," Imagination's "Just an Illusion," and Thelma Houston's "You Used to Hold Me So Tight." ~ Andy Kellman
