Like its title would suggest, the 54-track, three-disc box set Greatest Ever! Electric is not a collection of Balkan folk music, but it's also not a tribute to the electric guitar. "Greatest Ever! Electronic" would have been a better fit, as it's chock-full of new wave hits and dancefloor/space-out jams from artists like Animotion ("Obsession"), Hot Chip ("Over and Over"), 808 State ("Pacific 707"), and Caribou ("Odessa"). ~ James Christopher Monger
