  • Recorded at Shangri-la Studios, Malibu, California in 1981.
  • Digitally remastered by Keith Blake.
  • 1982's GREEN LIGHTS was Bonnie Raitt's first album of the '80s. On it, her sound took a more mainstream turn away from the blues and R&B normally associated with her music. Instead of interpreting material by Mable John and Sippie Wallace, Raitt went with tunes by reggae artist Eddy Grant ("Baby Come Back") and Bob Dylan ("Let's Keep It Between Us." Raitt co-wrote the rubbery, reggae-tinged "Can't Get Enough" and the Stonesier "I Can't Help Myself," with Vince Gill helping out on harmony vocals.
  • Additional guests include Rick Vito, Jackson Browne and jazz organist William "Smitty" Smith. Raitt's best cover choices by far are a pair of tunes from the NRBQ catalog. The hard-driving title track is barely beat out by the infectious "Me And The Boys," proving Raitt equally adept at rocking out or wielding a potent blues slide.
