Happy Birthday Little Girl is a generic, but fairly pleasant, collection of singalong songs aimed at young children. Aside from "Happy Birthday to You" and the original song "My Birthday," the collection isn't really all that birthday-oriented; the rest of the album focuses on songs that lend themselves to games and activities, such as "Ring Around the Rosy," "The Itsy Bitsy Spider," and "Sally Go Round the Sun." "Five Speckled Frogs," "Old MacDonald," and "Baa Baa Black Sheep" are some of the other highlights. Happy Birthday Little Girl isn't a bad collection, but in an age where families can make customized birthday mixes for their kids, it may not have enough personality. ~ Heather Phares
