Danish band the Breakers have a raunchy garage-pop sound that blends rock and R&B in much the same way as the Rolling Stones and the Faces once did. Singer Toke Nisted's voice has a nice, raspy Rod Stewart quality, and tracks such as "Tried So Hard," which borrows liberally from the Isley Brothers' "This Old Heart of Mine" (also covered by Stewart), have an energetic immediacy and freshness.
