Best known for her role as Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, in the hit Broadway musical WICKED, New York City-based actor/singer Idina Menzel collaborated with uber-producer Glen Ballard (Alanis Morissette, Shakira) for her 2008 album, I STAND. Menzel's ability to belt out dramatic songs is apparent throughout the record, most notably on the rock-tinged, Melissa Etheridge-like "Gorgeous" and the emotive, melancholy "Brave."
