Il Divo were the first of many experimental Simon Cowell-created bands that found success on the global radio waves in the 2000s era. Their success was immediate and explosive: a pop-opera group of four attractive young men covering such hits as "Unbreak My Heart" in their native language made Il Divo instant superstars. This album found success globally, ranking in the Top Five of 25 different countries, including reaching number one in 13 of them. The album's unique presentation of four operatic pop singers in a "boy band for adults" fashion paved the way for many contemporaries to enter the scene globally. ~ Matthew Chisling
