As an original member of the phenomenally successful group Destiny's Child, LeToya's voice and face should be plenty familiar to fans of urban contemporary R&B. LeToya left Destiny's Child in 1999, signed with Capitol as a solo artist in 2003, and subsequently released the singles "U Got What I Need," "All Eyes on Me" (with Paul Wall), and "Torn." All of this created an effective buildup to LeToya, the artist's full-length solo debut, which arrived in 2006. Containing all of the aforementioned singles, and a polished, hip-hop-inflected R&B sound that recalls Destiny's Child, LeToya gives the singer's former bandmate Beyonc? a run for her money. ~ Anthony Tognazzini
