  • Formed in the 1950s, the Clancy Brothers are arguably the greatest Irish folk singing group of the 20th century. This album, recorded live in the spring of 1982, contains 10 hitherto unrecorded songs, representing the cream of the Clancy Brothers' live '80s repertoire.
  • "Dear Boss (Bricks)" a song arranged by collaborator Robbie O'Connell, humorously retells the events of a construction worker who gets hit by a plummeting barrel of bricks. Another song, "The Green Fields of France" depicts World War One, and the tragedy of dying young. Finally, the Brothers perform a musical version of W.B. Yeats' poem, "The Foggy Dew," as part of their medley "The Rebellion of 1916," a tuneful narrative recounting the struggles of generations of Irish who fought to gain self determination from British rule.
