Celebrating 20 years with Atlantic Records, iconic Canadian rock act Rush releases RETROSPECTIVE III (1989-2008). The band that defined the term power trio, Rush pushed the envelope with each innovative release. RETROSPECTIVE III culls 14 vibrant tracks from the band's latter-day efforts--PRESTO, ROLL THE BONES, COUNTERPARTS, TEST FOR ECHO, VAPOR TRAILS, and SNAKES & ARROWS--many of which were underrated owing to their bold arrangements and deviation from tradition. Also included on the release are two special remixed tracks by guitarist Alex Lifeson and engineer Richard Chycki (Aerosmith, Dream Theater). The gem on III, however, is a previously unreleased live cut, "Ghost of a Chance," which was recorded during Rush's 2008 Snakes & Arrows Tour. A special edition version of RETROSPECTIVE III contains a bonus DVD with videos, live performances, and rare interview footage.
