The Cult went '80s big time with this album, which almost completely underplays the band's usual slightly spooky, slightly pretentious side in favor of a big slick sound--heavy on the synths and electronic percussion--and songs that recall (of all things) "Eye of the Tiger" auteurs Survivor. The best track is probably "Let Go," a rousing self-referential rock & roll party anthem with an interesting '70s glam rock feel (think Mott the Hoople or Wizzard).
