The singer and actress Ronee Blakley's 1972 debut album contains her song "Dues," also featured in Robert Altman's 1975 movie NASHVILLE, in which Blakley starred. A fine example of early-1970s country, soft-rock, and folk, the set also includes the Maria Muldaur-like "Sleeping Sickness Blues," the gospel-inflected "Down to the River," and the melancholy, confessional "I Lied."

No Depression (p.99) - "Although the country-flavored material provides the album's highlights, there's some nice Joni Mitchell-influenced folky soliloquies mixed in."
