The follow-up to the Lightning Seeds' well-received debut, CLOUDCUCKOOLAND, 1992's SENSE found British singer/multi-instrumentalist/producer Ian Broudie continuing in his signature keyboard-driven twee-pop mode. While a few tracks were co-penned by the Specials' Terry Hall, most notably the vibrant title single, SENSE's standout track was "The Life of Riley," a jangly, upbeat ode to childhood.
