Kirk Franklin has been at the forefront of bringing gospel into the 21st century the past couple of decades. His uplifting anthems are urban in nature and, at their best, neatly bridge the dance club and the choir loft, a trick he pulls off live as well. This ten-song set featuring Franklin in concert at various churches between 1992 and 2000 proves the point, as Franklin performs versions of dancefloor hymns like "Hosanna" and "Brighter Day" along with modern praise & worship ballads like his 1993 hit "Why We Sing." ~ Steve Leggett
