Like labelmates and fellow Mississippians R.L Burnside and Junior Kimbrough, T-Model Ford plays an oozing, stripped-down blues that in ten seconds could send all the Robert Crays of the world running home crying to their mothers. For the most part, Ford's accompanied by just his drummer, the singly-named Spam.
SHE AIN'T NONE OF YOUR'N was Ford's third album in two years, and it adheres to the sound which came blasting out of his debut, PEE-WEE GET MY GUN. The 77-year-old T-Model sings with a voice that's a real as blood and broken bottles. This music is full of guts, rough edges, and know-how. When Ford sings his warnings on "Leave My Heart Alone," best believe him. This stuff is the real deal.
