  • Some might think that a box set containing all of Captain & Tennille's albums is a bit overkill, but look at this way: anybody interested in hearing one proper studio album from the duo will likely want to hear the rest, so might as well round them all up and present them as a box set that's far more exhaustive than most listeners would ever want. This has all six of their albums -- their four A&M platters and two LPs for Casablanca -- and while there are no bonus tracks here, it's all presented at an affordable price so for those few who want to dig deeper -- whether it's for nostalgia or kitsch -- this is a cheap way to do it, although be forewarned: there isn't much of interest outside of the big hits. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
