  • Ska-Punk survivors Voodoo Glow Skulls have been at it for a long time, and from the sound of SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA STREET MUSIC, they have no plans to stop anytime soon. Frantically fusing SoCal hardcore with classic ska and Latin sounds, VGS burst out of the gates in the way-back days of the early '90s, before the time when this sound became a marketable trend (culminating in No Doubt becoming bonafide pop superstars). This 2007 release will please all the remaining diehards with its colorful, unrelenting energy and lack of compromise. It's the sound of Jamaica crashing into East L.A. at a Descendents concert, in essence exactly what the title implies.
Professional Reviews
Alternative Press (p.129) - 4 stars out of 5 -- "'Morning Air Raid Sirens' and 'Discombobulated' maintain the same fiery energy with their fast tempos and clearly hardcore bent."

Kerrang (Magazine) (p.50) - "Gruff and raw, California Street Music flexes its muscular, melodic, metal-ska-punk discord to all those willing to listen."
