Recorded while the band was on tour for Sacrifice, their 20th studio album, heavy metal legends Saxon bring the massive stage presence to their fans once again with St. George's Day Sacrifice: Live in Manchester. In front of a frenzied British crowd, the live album finds the stalwart band unleashing a rousing, two-hour live set, ripping through decades of material as they rock ridiculously hard for a band that's been working for nearly 40 years. With such powerful performances, it's no surprise that more and more new bands are looking toward the new wave of British heavy metal for their sounds, but while many might look to Saxon for inspiration, it's clear they're not quite ready to pass the torch along. ~ Gregory Heaney
