Fantasy's Greatest Hits collection may be devastatingly sparse, but what it does have is pure Staple Singers gold. Focusing primarily on their '60s soul era, the scant eight tracks, which include "Respect Yourself," "I'll Take You There," and "If You're Ready (Come Go With Me)," serve as a great primer for the casual fan of their non-gospel material, but the seasoned listener would be better off picking up the blissfully comprehensive Ultimate Staple Singers: A Family Affair. ~ James Christopher Monger
