Performer Notes

Ranwood Records has released several albums by "The Percy Faith Orchestra" which don't actually feature any original recordings by the orchestra leader/arranger/producer, who died in 1976. Instead, THEME FROM A SUMMER PLACE consists of new recordings of classic Faith arrangements. The new recordings are immaculately produced, with excellent sound and dynamic presence. The songs, including the title track, which was Faith's biggest hit and signature song, are uniformly excellent. Purists might be a bit put off by the slightly deceptive titling, but the contents of the disc are perfectly fine.
