When Richard Farina died in a motorcycle accident while still a young man, the world lost a truly great folk singer and songwriter. Along with his wife, Mimi, he penned a number of topical '60s folk ballads, including a eulogy for slain civil rights workers entitled "Michael, Andrew and James." The budget-priced Vanguard Visionaries series brings this track and others together in a nice introduction to the pair.
