The soundtrack to the acclaimed Waking Ned Devine is packed with songs and sounds wonderfully evocative of the tiny Irish sea town which is the film's setting; most notable is the inclusion of the title track to the Waterboys' 1988 masterpiece Fisherman's Blues, a record which anticipated the contemporary vogue for traditional Irish music by close to a decade and which now might finally begin earning the recognition it's so long deserved. ~ Jason Ankeny
