Product Details
Performer Notes
  • Boston: Fran Cosmo, Tommy Funderburk (vocals); Tom Scholz (guitar, piano, organ, Clavinet, keyboards, bass, drums, background vocals); Gary Pihl (guitar); David Sikes (bass, background vocals); Doug Huffman (drums).
  • Additional personnel: Michael Shotten (vocals); Bob Cedro (guitar); Matt Belyea (handclaps).
  • 1994's WALK ON is only Boston's 4th album since 1976. It's one of the band's more controversial releases. Newcomer Fran Cosmo replaces longtime singer Brad Delp, whose voice was an essential ingredient in Boston's instantly recognizable sound. Guitarist Tom Scholz is the sole member remaining from Boston's original lineup.
  • Scholz comes pretty close to recreating Boston's classic, multi-layered sound on such cuts as "I Need Your Love," "Surrender to Me," and "What's Your Name." While WALK ON didn't prove as big a blockbuster as BOSTON, DON'T LOOK BACK, and THIRD STAGE, the album still sold respectably enough to reach platinum certification shortly after its release.
