The found sound that starts this EP may throw you off a bit, but get through it, because this is one of those little moments that make you glad that you delved deeper into underground music. There is not one throwaway track here. From the warm organ sounds of "Copyists" through the rocking guitars on "You Are Right to Be Afraid," each song radiates a sense of closeness without being smothering. The elements of former bands are easy to see, but this combination of musicians takes those bands' ideas to a grand new level, with brand new psych flourishes, organs, etc. This is probably one of the best things Dischord has put out in a while, and that's saying something given that the label rarely, if ever, misses.
